Separate your heavy ferrous parts!
Combining ballistic and magnetic effects, the SteelMaster separates an iron-rich ferrous fraction from copper-containing material. It is used to separate heavy parts from a ferrous product in order to reduce its copper content. Main targets are copper coils with a ferrous core so called meatballs. This technology offers a cheaper alternative to the X-Ray Fluorescence (XSS F).
The STEINERT SteelMaster is foreseen to be installed inline in scrap processing lines, but also can be used as a batch fed solution. With working widths of 1m, 1.5m and 2m the STEINERT SteelMaster matches the requirements of the industry.
For example a low-copper content ferrous product represents 70% to 80% of the total material process flow. From this material considerable more than 90% of all meatballs can be separated with the STEINERT SteelMaster.
