Magnetic Separation Resource Recovery Solutions

Eddy Current Separators and Induction Sorting solutions for Non-Ferrous minerals and materials
Our non-ferrous metal separator has a variety of uses, including separating out aluminium, municipal waste, slag, glass, foundry sand, wood chips, electronic scrap (WEEE), and batteries. It works by creating eddy currents in the non-ferrous metal parts, causing them to eject from the rest of the material flowing along the conveyor belt. The eddy currents are generated by an arrangement of rapidly rotating magnets in the head drum. The system is highly adjustable to allow the user to reach the maximum ejection efficiency.

Our separation systems detect minerals and ores using X-Ray sensors, 3D colour detection and Spectral Imaging sensors. These sensor-based sorters can rapidly detect material characteristics to enable a high material throughput while maintaining precision sorting.

The STEINERT XSS T is an x-ray sensor used for recognising material densities, organic components and components containing halogens, organic components, internal adhesions and composite materials. It is used to sort light metals from heavy metals, scrap wood from stone, PVC from plastics, and aluminium castings from wrought alloys.
It is also used in mining, particularly narrow vein mining applications.
STEINERT XSS F (X-Ray Fluorescence) can be used to differentiate alloys metals and mineral ores based on their surfaces when scanned.
We also offer sophisticated STEINERT KSS system, which allows you to find the right combination for your project requirements. The system allows and combination of colour camera, 3D camera and induction sensor, enabling the system to sort by material density, metal product quality or colour.
