VDMA Membership

VDMA Membership

The VDMA (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau — German Engineering Federation) is one of the key association service providers and offers the largest capital goods industry network in Europe.  A network of well over 20,000 decision-makers and specialists from 3,000 member companies and 400 dedicated specialists at the VDMA and its service companies ensures the quality of its services.

STEINERT makes use of this optimal platform and advance innovative technologies, which is why we have been a VDMA member since 2004.

German RETech Partnership

German RETech Partnership

Representatives of German companies from the recycling industry — including STEINERT — and German universities established the association “German RETech Partnership” at the end of 2011.  The purpose of German RETech Partnership is to improve the position of German small and medium sized companies in particular in the target markets — which are still to be defined — for German recycling and efficiency technology and for fundamental projects in the waste management sector.

Membership of the German RETech Partnership is open to all companies active in the area of recycling and to universities.  Further information and membership details are available from www.retech-germany.net.

WFZruhr – STEINERT is a member

WFZruhr

WFZruhr was founded in 2005 and is a voluntary initiative of public and private companies from the recycling industry. There are altogether around 100 members in this network of expertise. They are leaders in the areas of technology and systems and, as such, they cover the entire service spectrum of the recycling sector. These services include sorting and preparation, the production of secondary raw materials, secondary energy production and facilities construction. As a manufacturer of sorting equipment, STEINERT has been a member of WFZruhr since May 2012.

BLUECOMPETENCE

BLUECOMPETENCE

Blue Competence is a VDMA sustainability initiative. It stands for the mechanical and plant engineering industry’s leadership in innovation and technology in the field of sustainable solutions. The initiative brings together strengths, resources and know-how in order to take a stand on issues related to sustainability —also in the long term.

STEINERT supports the initiative as a partner and is active as a supplier of solutions that improve quality of life, protect the environment, improve energy and resource efficiency and are appropriate for the market.

STEINERT is a member of BIR

Bureau of International Recycling (BIR)

The Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) was founded in 1948 and is the world’s only global recycling industry association. It represents around 800 individual companies and national associations from more than 70 countries. STEINERT joined BIR in 2007.

BIR is organised into a number of different areas, encompassing various commodity divisions and committees. There are four commodity divisions: Non-Ferrous Metals, Ferrous Metals, Paper and Textiles. BIR also has three commodity committees: Stainless Steel and Special Alloys, Plastics and Tyres. BIR’s main aim is to contribute to environmental protection by facilitating the free trade of recyclables and promoting the use of recycled materials worldwide.
